An experienced conductor based in Miami, Yun Cao has held the role of managing director with JSGS Publishing, a classical music publishing company located in Coral Gables since 2023. His duties in this position involve the oversight of all artistic and business operations, with specific responsibilities including the development of catalogue strategy, editorial guidance, and negotiating partnerships with musicians and organizations. Yun Cao also leads the production and distribution of JSGS orchestral scores and scholarly editions.

Yun Cao balances his leadership responsibilities with JSGS with his position as the music director of the Aurora School of Music’s Aurora Philharmonic Orchestra and assistant conductor and librarian for the Florida Grand Opera. From 2021 to 2026, he led rehearsals and performances as the associate conductor for the Frost Symphony Orchestra.

Yun Cao holds a doctor of orchestral conducting from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. In addition to his academic work, he served as a graduate teaching assistant in the orchestral studies program and published two scholarly works. Beyond his work in music, he enjoys staying active through hiking and traveling.
